Description: One Of Manchesters Top Commercial and Funky House dj's Carl kennedy has been long established in the manchester and North West Area , not to be confused with his namesake based in the Usa & Australia . His regular weekly residencies attract over 3500 people per week to his gigs . His following with the student populatuion Of manchester is "Legendary" as he has played at many SU parties including the annual "Torremelinos" All Nighter . Heres a brief history of Carls DJ career ....

I first started dj'ing in 1984 when I realised i was a terrible breakdancer ! . Self taught mixing and scratching took me to the DMC mixing championships in 1988 at the world famous , now sadly deconstructed Hacienda . I got through the daytime heats to the final 6 where after being under the intense pressure of being first on ! I came a credible 3rd in the North Of England . From there , I played at many private parties and 88/89 raves which were absolutely blinding .

I then took up residency at Fridays Nightclub in Didsbury Manchester in 1990 until 1997 playing on a Mon , Thurs Fri & Sat nights . The HACIENDA became part of my life again in 1994 when I Dj'd the Student Night on a Tuesday Night , this was an amazing experience , I am very proud to say I actually have played there to a packed out Hac with everyone going off it !! - incredible ! I also have played a guest spot with Alastair Whitehead and Paul Dakeyene on The ministry of sound tour in oct 2000 , and also I played a set at GOLDEN New Years eve 2000-01 at manchester academy , 9pm-11.30pm in the trance room before eddie halliwell which was wicked .

I was RESIDENT AT ES PARADIS IBIZA IN 2001 & 2002 , playing at the very successful disco inferno and deja vu nights , an unbelivieable expereince playing sets at one of the worlds most beautiful clubs and most prominent dj booths you can ever see .Whilst on the island i also ended up playing at Kanya , Itaca , Trops and Chac Mool . My residencies have taken me from Manchester University Students Union to venues all over the country , culminating in my current gigs at the two biggest nights in Manchester at Tiger Tiger and Pure Manchester . 2006 was agreat year making my debut for Cream & Miss Moneypennys as part of their Uk club tours .

My 2007 Residencies Are Currently At Monday - Vodka Island - Tiger Tiger Manchester Thursday - Airport @ Paparazzi Manchester Friday - Pure Sessions @ Pure Superclub Manchester Saturday - Saturdays Are Pure @ Pure Superclub Manchester Also you can find me doing guest spots at Studio 111 @ Club V , Fever Northampton & Houseductive@Paparazzi For Further Information contact djcarlk@msn.com / www.djcarlkennedy.com

Description: Avicii had only been producing a few months when his friends noticed that the productions were amazingly professional and that they had just witnessed a great talent being born. Avicii started out with doing a remix of the theme music for the Commodore 64 game ʻLazy Jonesʼ, but decided to drop it as it inspired him to make his own ʻLazy Laceʼ - released almost immediately on Strike Recordings.

Avicii was instantly fascinated with producing and spent many hours in his home studio creating one fresh tune after the next. Avicii never tried to get caught up in a specific subgenre of house, but wanted to keep the productions up to date and innovative. His music is inspired by the likes of Laidback Luke, Steve Angello and Tocadisco, but also Daft Punk, Eric Prydz
and that of Axwell. In April 2008, Avicii released the first big track, ʻManmanʼ, on Pete Tongʼs Bedroom Bedlam label after winning the Pete Tong Fast Trax. Avicii received an astonishing 70% of the votes and after the release and were contacted by numerous labels, promoters and booking agencies from all over the globe. Even Laidback Luke mentioned Avicii on his
Myspace website saying: “[Avicii], by winning this competition, left many contesters behind in their dust. / So a big CONGRATULATIONS to these brilliant DJs for winning the contest and all the luck with their future careers!” What Avicii wants is to create music for people to listen to and come to love, whether it be at home or in a dark nightclub.

Avicii puts great emphasis on melodies in his productions and wants to appeal to fans of many different house music genres. Avicii signed on to At Night Management in May 2008 and within a month the buzz around them spread noticeably and they were recognized on labels such as Joia Records, Vicious Grooves and Ministry of Sound, just to name a few. By the end of that month, Avicii had already signed a big deal with Vicious Grooves in Australia and were head on target
to soon explode over the entire globe.

Description: Scissor Sisters is an American pop and rock band whose musical style draws from disco, glam rock and the New York City club scene. Formed in 2001, the group consists of vocalists Jake Shears and Ana Matronic, multi-instrumentalist Babydaddy, lead guitar/bassist, Del Marquis, and drummer Randy Real who replaced former drummer Paddy Boom. "Spawned by the scuzzy, gay nightlife scene of New York", they took their name from a sexual position between two women known as tribadism.

The group rose to public attention with the release of their self-titled debut album in 2004, from which they gained chart success in Australia, Canada and parts of Europe – particularly their "spiritual home", the United Kingdom, where Scissor Sisters was the best-selling album of that year – although not their native United States. Several singles from the album were also successes, including "Comfortably Numb", "Laura" and "Take Your Mama". They followed this with their second album, Ta-Dah, in 2006, which again proved to be a commercial and critical success, with singles including "I Don't Feel Like Dancing" and "Land of a Thousand Words". Their third album, Night Work, was released in 2010, and displayed a shift towards a more club-oriented sound.
